SUSTAINABILITY

Although Oakay is UKAS ISO 14001:2015 accredited, we have in line with UK/Global Government legislation and best practice undertaken a full review of our business delivery processes and procedures in relation to establishing and delivering a measurable Carbon Neutral Policy.

We are fully committed to reducing our carbon footprint as an organisation whilst promoting sustainable working practices and reviewing how we might become a net zero carbon company.

We have taken a number of proactive steps and actively work with all stakeholders to reduce, reuse and recycle whenever and wherever possible

Oakray have engaged with Net Zero Carbon Consultants “Energise” to assess and aid in the development of our Carbon Neutral Plan, and provide us with a clear pathway to become carbon neutral over the next 5 years, helping us to help our clients and supply chain achieve the same.

Following a Net Zero Index assessment, Oakray was found to have significantly lower Carbon Footprint emissions compared to the industry average, and our Net Zero Index results report Oakray performing above our competitors average in relation to supply chain and performance. However, we can still improve.

We acknowledge and are proud of the steps we have taken in making our office environment a better and greener place to work, improving the performance of the homes and properties in which we work, enhancing and benefitting the environment and wider communities.

We understand our responsibilities and look to support our clients in their respective carbon neutral journeys whilst continuing to  innovate to reach our goal of becoming a net zero carbon business by 2028.
